Announcing for 2026 Book One:
Feline Online and the Cats of Ancient Egypt. Book One
The roar of an escaped zoo lioness outside Emily’s bedroom sets the stage for the twelve-year-old to explore unsettling events taking place in her neighbor’s Victorian house. When she sees a strange blue light coming from Amanda’s window next door, and when she meets a Cleopatra-like woman and her son, Mihos, Emily follows clues that lead her to observe the behaviors of Wadjet, 𓇆 𓇋 𓇋 𓎠, Amanda’s cat.
As Emily learns more about Mihos, who looks like an image in her history book, down to his papyrus sandals and his jet black bangs, she wonders if he is older than he looks. Much older. And when she witnesses Wadjet’s brown Siamese cat head bobbing about one night in front of Amanda’s computer monitor, Emily realizes it’s time to get advice from a trusted grownup, Mrs. Katz, the school librarian.
Suspense is compounded by Amanda’s plans to sell her large garden lot. Because the lot and adjoining moss-covered greenhouse seem to be the focus of other strange incidents, matters escalate with the troublesome interference of Bastet’s archrival and jealous sister, Sekhmet, the Lioness-headed Goddess.
Feline Online and the Rule of Cats
As much as Emily loves Wadjet and Foo Foo, she wants to have her own pet cat. One Saturday morning, Emily’s father takes her to the local animal shelter. An amber cat, rescued from a nearby roof, chooses Emily as her new mistress. Mysteries abound as the cat seems to understand everything that Emily is doing and often tries to interfere. She meets with Mihos, a boy her age who wears dusty papyrus sandals and knows everything about cats. Emily’s neighbor Amanda is busy sewing Egyptian costumes for attendees to the fundraiser for a local cat shelter. But an appearance by thundering red storms and an unwelcome visitor nearly destroys their evening!
Feline Online and the Maze of the Minotaur
Emily and Mihos discover tiny minotaur beetles creating tunnels for their dung balls full of eggs. Seeing an occasional gem buried within the tunnels, Mihos wants Emily to help him dig deeper into the tunnel when more small treasures appear. Wadjet, in her secret online meetings with Bastet, has plans she must carry out. The Cat Goddess has one goal: to restore her ancient powers before Sekhmet, the lioness-headed Goddess can stop her. Bastet must find something only she knows is buried under the greenhouse. And she needs the help of Wadjet, Emily and Mihos. But do the humans and cats hear the rumbling of Sekhmet’s underground rumbling that will destroy everyone’s plans?
