Feline Online and the Cats of Ancient Egypt
When ten-year-old Emily thinks she sees a lioness roaming through her neighbor’s garden, she doesn’t realize she is about to begin an after-school career as a detective. Wadjet and Foo Foo, the two Siamese house cats who live in Amanda’s Victorian house, are acting strangely. One night Emily sees a glowing blue light coming from Amanda’s computer monitor in her dining room. The next morning, a woman dressed like Cleopatra appears with her young son, Mihos. They have rescued an escaped Wadjet. Before long Amanda invites Emily to help her understand why an amber cat keeps appearing on her computer monitor. Will Emily follow the clues when she receives an odd message on her own computer? A message from centuries ago, when an amber cat reveals herself as Bastet, Cat Goddess of Upper and Lower Egypt, warning her that cats everywhere will soon be restored to their former glory and status with humans!
Feline Online and the Rule of Cats
As much as Emily loves Wadjet and Foo Foo, she wants to have her own pet cat. One Saturday morning, Emily’s father takes her to the local animal shelter. An amber cat, rescued from a nearby roof, chooses Emily as her new mistress. Mysteries abound as the cat seems to understand everything that Emily is doing and often tries to interfere. When Emily visits Amanda, she learns that Wadjet and Foo Foo have been spending a lot of time in Amanda’s greenhouse, a magnificent old glassed-in structure attached to Amanda’s kitchen. Wadjet has been seen digging at the base of a Majesty Palm Tree at the back of the greenhouse. When Mihos visits, his papyrus sandals reveal a crumbling wooden box within the hole. Meanwhile, Amanda is busy sewing Egyptian costumes for attendees to the fundraiser for a local cat shelter. But an appearance by thundering storms and an unwelcome visitor nearly destroys their evening!
Feline Online and the Maze of the Minotaurs
Emily and Mihos discover tiny minotaur beetles creating tunnels for their dung balls full of eggs. Seeing an occasional gem buried within the tunnels, Mihos wants Emily to help him dig deeper into the tunnel when more small treasures appear. Wadjet, in her secret online meetings with Bastet, has plans she must carry out. Bastet has given Wadjet and Foo Foo clear instructions from her online presence. The Cat Goddess has one goal: to restore her ancient powers before Sekhmet can stop her. Bastet must reach something only she knows is buried under the greenhouse. And she needs the help of Wadjet, Emily and Mihos. But do the humans and cats hear the rumbling of approaching storms or could it be earthquakes threatening everyone’s plans?
